Glastonbury 2025 - Live Stream with Mavoy Music

It’s time for our traditional June post, dedicated to one of my favorite traditions of the year – the live stream of Glastonbury Festival. It’s my personal favorite festival live stream. The next year, unfortunately, Glastonbury will be taking a scheduled year off, so it’s even more important to have a proper party now.

As always, all streamed performances will be available on demand for 30 days, starting the morning after the specific set. Here's the official press release about radio, TV and online coverage. https://www.bbc.com/mediacentre/articles/2025/glastonbury-on-bbc-tv-iplayer-radio-bbc-sounds

The streamed stages include: Pyramid, Other, Woodsies, West Holts and Park.

I should also remind you that not everything in the line-up will be streamed. Sadly, BBC usually doesn’t stream the early acts, even from the major stages. I'm going to include them in our list, just in case – and I’ll be sad if Nilufer Yanya is not included in the final list – she still hasn’t performed live a material from new EP and, possibly, she’s waiting for Glasto. Of course, it’s also useful for those who will actually attend the festival. But when it comes to the live stream, I'm skeptical about every act before, say, 3pm CET.

All times in CET. The full schedule in GMT (one hour earlier) is available here. https://glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/line-up/line-up-2025/

To be honest with you – I think the last year’s line-up was slightly stronger. It seems that my Sunday evening schedule will likely include St. Vincent, Future Islands and The Maccabees, and with all my admiration of these three acts – it gives me 2015 vibes (when I actually saw FI live and missed Maccabees at Kraków Live). Still, there’s a plenty of great new-er music on the line-up. Every new Joy Crookes’ song from the upcoming album Juniper is a revelation. Japanese Breakfast will perform the songs from her latest record, after having to cancel her last Glastonbury appearance at last minute. Kae Tempest will be also previeving a July record Self Titled, and their Glasto sets are always memorable.

There’s plenty of jazz in this year’s line-up, I’m excited to see Badbadnotgood, Yussef Dayes and Ezra Collective. Veterans of R&B/soul on the live stream include En Vogue and Cymande, I’m certain it’s a great opportunity to watch them. When it comes to indie rock, I reckon English Teacher and Nadine Shah (if she’s streamed, 50/50 with this hour and the stage) should be amazing. Finally, it’s interesting that two of the three acts I praised here after Tauron, will be also live streamed by Glastonbury. Unfortunately, Ela Minus wasn’t invited by the festival :) And I’d love to watch her again!

I know there was a playlist last year… I may make one later.

The problem about BBC’s partnership with Glastonbury is their annoying geoblock. The Beeb is getting so ridiculosly stubborn about the geoblock that they announced, a few months ago that… radio programmes on BBC Sounds, both live and on demand, will be now also only available to UK listeners, „starting in spring”. They shared this information in the beginning of March… and nothing happened, so far, but they didn’t remove the pop-up either. So the future of BBC Sounds remains unknown, but at the moment it is very much still available. You CAN listen to the radio coverage outside the UK… without additional steps.

I don’t wanna give too much details, in case BBC is looking for articles like this one. But to watch anything on iPlayer outside United Kingdom, you need to obtain an English IP address, using proxy/VPN/SmartDNS etc.

The last year, all the streamed performances were also posted to Internet Archive, where they are still available, but I’m not sure about this year.

PS Bad news for Neil Young fans – he barred the BBC from streaming his performance.
